OK… The Real ID project is tabled for now. All across the news sphere the Immigration bill was tabled. And with it the Real ID project.
But what is to say it won’t come up again? Hidden in some other piece of legislation like it was in 2005. What happens in 2008, 2009? Will individual state government make changes slowly and along the way to be “ready for the Real ID” when it does come through without any laws saying we will do this? It’s not like it hasn’t happened before. DO you know where your state stands on this issue?
So get informed. Stay informed. Don’t just act now and forget about it. You must stay alert. These things have a way of sneaking up on you. It snuck up on me and I thought I was up to speed on this matter. ANd bam, here it is again.
